FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQs

I haven’t exercised in years or tried pilates, can i still train with you?

Yes, absolutely. My space was created for people just like you — people looking to move again, find confidence in their bodies, and train in a supportive, private environment. We start wherever you are, with no pressure and no expectations. Every session is tailored to your goals, your body, your fitness level, and energy on the day. This isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress, connection, and remembering what you're capable of.

What if I can’t see any times that suit me on the calendar?

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I often have a waitlist and am more than happy to try and find a time that works for both of us. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your schedule where possible — just send me a message and we can chat options.

Do I really need Sticky socks, it seems a little over the top?

Totally get it — but yes, sticky (non-slip) socks are required for every session. It’s not just a studio rule — it’s about hygiene and safety. We use the same straps for both hands and feet, and socks help reduce sweat transfer and slipping during exercises. If you don’t have a pair, I have some available for $22 in-studio — just let me know!

Is the Studio Accessible, I have a injury or I need to use mobility aids?

Great question. The main studio is located up a flight of stairs, so unfortunately it isn’t fully accessible for everyone. However, if stairs are a challenge for you, we can absolutely adapt. I can host a mat Pilates and Wunda chair session downstairs beside the pool or meet you in a local open space for a tailored movement session. Please reach out prior to booking so we can find the best setup for you. (Please note, I need a days notice for an outdoor session with the Wundah chair)

Can I bring my partner/ friend to my private session?

Yes, if you booked a private individual session ($90), you’re welcome to bring a friend — but please note this will be charged as a duo session ($100). If you plan to bring someone, please let me know in advance any necessary information about their medical history, injuries, or movement limitations so I can prepare the session accordingly.

Do I need an initial consultation?

Yes, if you’re continuing past your trial or first session. The Initial Consultation is a 70-minute session where we explore your posture, movement mechanics, goals, and training history. We’ll also take time to clarify your “why,” begin uncovering any unhelpful patterns — physical or mental — that may be keeping you stuck, and start shaping a plan that feels meaningful and sustainable. This session gives us a strong, informed baseline so your training is safe, supportive, and designed to help you thrive — in movement and in mindset.

However, if you don’t plan to come regularly and would prefer a more general private Pilates class (partially catered to your needs), you’re welcome to skip the Initial Consultation. Just keep in mind — without having the time to explore your goals, movement patterns, and posture in depth, the session will be less tailored than it could be. Still beautiful, still supportive — just not as deeply individualised.

What if its raining and I have booked an outdoor session?

All good. If you’ve booked a outdoor group mat class and the weather turns, we’ll move the session into the upstairs studio and train using a mix of mat Pilates, Reformer, Reformer tower and Wunda chair. You’ll still get an intentional, connected movement experience.

Where do I park?

The studio is based at our home, so there’s free street parking anywhere along Allambie Street. If you’d like a photo of the front entrance to find us more easily, just message me and I’ll send one through. I’ll open the studio door 3–5 minutes before your session time.

Can I book all three Mat Pilates spots privately for me and my friends?

Yes! You’re welcome to book out all three spots for a private group session with your friends. If you all share a sport, training style, or goal, I’ll tailor the session to suit your needs — whether you’re building a strong foundation for running or triathlon to stay injury-free before hitting your start line, or you’re looking to improve mobility, control, and balance for surfing, skating, or snowboarding. These sessions are a beautiful way to connect, train, and support each other — with movement that meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go. ($40 pp). Instead of mat pilates with my 2 friends can we book indoors for reformer and wundah chair instead?

Yes, you can! For a group of three, the session is priced the same as my group mat Pilates — $40 per person. But instead of a mat-based class, I’ll guide you through a rotating circuit using the Reformer beds, Tower, and Wunda Chair. It creates a fun, dynamic flow where each of you gets to experience a range of movement styles and equipment. I’ll tailor the session to suit your goals and bodies — whether you're training for something specific or just want to move, laugh, and connect together. It’s a beautiful way to support each other while building strength, mobility, and confidence. Click here to book with your friends.

Can I hire you privately for my event, workplace wellbeing, or a family Pilates or yoga session?

Yes, absolutely! I love working with small teams, families, and groups to create meaningful movement experiences. Whether you're looking for workplace wellbeing sessions, event-based movement, or a private family class, I’d be honoured to support you. I can come to your workplace, university, or meet you in a public space for an outdoor session — or even join you in your own gym for a tailored personal training session.
